Haha, I know, these grips won't sit well with a lot of 1911 enthusiasts, but it's not like it's a permanent modifcation so no harm done, just a little fun. The girps are aluminum and although they are not exactly like the ones shown on their website (
http://www.dlsports.com/watchmen_smiley_face_1911_grips.html), I'm still happy with the ones I got. They feel smooth (maybe a little too smooth for some), and the finish on them is pretty nice.
I do like the original grips that came with the R1 so I may switch it up sometimes.
