1911's Pics Thread

How about some GSG 1911 .22lr love....

DSCN0264.jpg

First one I ever bought. Changed out the pot metal barrel bushing for a steel Colt factory one & put soft Hogue grip panels on it.

Still looks pretty clean for having a few thousand rounds thru 'er.

My twenty-year-project Longslide in .450 SMC under construction. (Right now, filing for frame-slide fitting.) The astute eye will notice a particular oddity...

And this, albeit rendered as a 6", is what it's intended to look like when done - two-tone dark metallic teal with mirror-polished hard-chrome on the slide flats and stainless controls.

Caspian Commander 4" 1911 10mm from the Caspian Custom Shop circa. mid 1980s ... it has a history + been around, I only had to change out springs after 35 yrs, tritium sights ran out after about 20 - still a shooter

The only thing catching my eye is the smaller then typical cutout in the magazine area..... should be a fun shooter when you get it done!

I regret not buying the Krongsberg that was offered to me but yours with the dirty birds is very special indeed
Yes one of 920 made in 1945, I imported it from Denmark just as the import and transfer freeze came into effect. Once we can buy handguns again I'd like to pick up the other m1914s from the other 3 years that these were made under occupation

Great project. I'm a big fan of the long slide 1911. I have a 6", but have been tempted to get a 7" slide assembly from Fusion.

Speaking off long slides, I owned this curiosity for a brief period in the past. I never did have any info on it's providence, but it shot ok.

Sadly, it looked like someone bubba'd a nice "C" prefix 12,### serial number commercial Colt 1911 back in the day to do it. :(
