It's box stock, except for the aftermarket ambi safety, and the cut-off frontstrap wrap-around. All done by the previous owner. I'm looking at some Hogue wraparounds w/ finger grooves, a mag-well, and maybe even plating it... BLACK chrome, w/ either bead-blast stainless accents, or regular chrome

My Remington Rand with grips made by the Old Man.
The wood is Wenge that he bought years ago for knife scales. I think this is a pretty good second use for it.

Yup. I was hoping they'd match my gun a lil better but in person they aren't off that much, just in the photo they are. I also have a pair of carbon creations I won off ebay coming so when those get here I'll post new pics.MikeyT said:

Great now I want a 1911.
They look great. I've got a set of black Alumagrips on my Kimber Eclipse and I love them, although I'm replacing them soon with a pair of custom grips in African Blackwood to match a set of knives I had made. I like it when all the gear matches.
