1911's Pics Thread

Thanks danyuld & xf1911. The only one I haven't judged right now is the m45, have no idea how it shoots, but I will take it to the range one of these days...

@danyuld: I had this imported last February 2013. They are still out there, the M45A1 roll-marked one instead of the "USMC". I'm only aware of one dealer here that I saw on the EE's before. It's much easier to acquire the M45A1 roll-mark, lowest I've seen was 1.6k USD NIB from the states.

I've been 1911less for a couple months and it's been killing me. I was searching for a good intermediate 1911 in 9mm, but chose not to at the moment. I've also been looking at all models in different calibers. I found that the commander models feel amazing in my hand and I do like smaller handguns, but I will probably get the classic 5 inch government someday. the long, thin, (without the front slide serrations) version in .45acp is hard to beat.
for looks, I think the sig nightmare looks incredible

I won't be getting any .45 action at the moment due to a broken bone in my shooting hand, so I'm learning to shoot single offhand
I pulled the trigger on purchasing a new browning 1911-22. it's a 85% scale replica, which should be great for a 22 1911

A member at my range let me fire a couple rounds down range with one of those small brownings,
Honestly the amount of recoil was perfect, in comparison to the size. It seemed like a fun shooting little .22

Wouldn't that 22 be prohib by barrel length?

If not... where and how much? lol

the barrel is restricted length.
I've just started to notice this line of pistols. it seems that most stores are now carrying them. they're running around $650 mark & mags @ $40 ea ... *sigh* ... so it's not the most affordable 22 pistol.
I will be receiving the tan version shown in the previous pictures tomorrow & I'm certain I made a good choice. I haven't shot one, but held one & have seen all the you tube videos.
frontier firearms had the best price - $579 +$15 flat shipping & only the 5% gst
