I still prefer mine ... original (unrefinished) 1914 Commercial Production pistol which was the personal sidearm of an Army Service Corps Major in the Canadian Expeditionary Force ...

Hey! Glad this photo thread finally reached "sticky" status....

Here's a couple new acquisitions for me:

My new Norc 1911A-1 compact .45 with addition of new trigger & some fancy double-diamond hardwood stocks:

And this 'full size' 1911A-1 .45 picked up off the EE here on CGN...

LOL, I bet that she doses!!

Get her a colt commander in lieu of the officers model! And post a photo of her shooting it!:D

Nice Para. How safe is that trigger if used for CCW? I am considering a compact version.

Trigger is as safe as any other DA out there, but much lighter and crisper than any I have played with.

Also, with the thumb and grip safeties - I wouldn't hesitate to use a smaller version for CCW.

My first 1911, and also my first handgun purchase:D. A 1911 Colt Commander .45 AUTO. She has a little wear, but I am not worried about it, form follows function, as far as I am concerned. Bought it from a fellow Gunnutz, and was a great deal; thanks LONEWOLF!

My Babies :)

Okay, finally uploaded pics of my babies. First is a some what rare Springfield Operator .45 which i've upgraded a little bit with an Ed Brown Chain Link Mainspring housing & Magwell. Also added a Wilson Combat Dwyer Group Gripper Full Length guide Rod Assembly. New grips, Novak drop in 1911 rear sights and bushing style Compensator. Once Im done upgrading it, she is going to be one hell of a looker and performer :D

Pictures Just never do justice.... I felt like posting more but didn't want to go overboard in one post.
Next up is probably the most Upgraded NP-29 in Canada. I just got it off Gunnar at Armco who built this beauty. Im not even going to bother listing the amount of upgrades apart from adding that its got a ramped Briley Match grade barrel in there (9mm). Beleive it or not, 2000$ worth of upgrades

I snuck in a few pics of my CZ SP-01 Shadow in the mix;). Sorry for some of the blurry pics, my digital camera is pretty touchy. I am extremely happy with the peformance of all of them. The 2 1911's are top notch in accuracy and the CZ Shadow is one of the best guns I've ever fired. When i'm finally geared up and have time to commit to compete. The Shadow is definatly going to be my choice for Production class.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Cheers
