1911's Pics Thread

Had my RIA Tactical's trigger job done by Casey from Tacord. Simply amazing trigger. It was a match trigger to begin with but now it's beautiful. He also sand blasted my trigger and hammer. It has a Caspian fiber front sight and VZ Operator II grips. All the rave reviews you read in the US about these guns are true from my experience.

how much does casey charge for trigger work? How about installing the front sight?

I'd have to disagree with you. GrantR's 1914 CEF Government Model is THE nicest pistol in this thread. If he were to post another picture or two of it, this thread could be locked forever and nobody could complain. (See post #2)

GrantR's Canadian contract 1911 is very nice too but it's nowhere as rare as your 4 digits serial # pre-war 38 super. That's why they're worth about 3 times more than any Canadian contract 1911. When we'll see a mint condition pre war National Match appear in this thread, then we can close it.;)

That looks wicked Chris, I can't wait to try it tonight. :D

Those grips look great Chris! You definately made the right choice for style and colour, not to mention they are awesome functional grips.

I can't remember if I ever posted to this thread but here is mine:

Gutted and chopped by the great Casey at Tac Ord.

I would have to look for my receipt to specifically find the trigger job price, but I was shocked at the total price. For $140 he did the trigger job, sand blasted my trigger and hammer, bought and installed the front sight and fixed my grip so my ambi safety would work properly. Seriously, nobody can touch this kind of quality and price. Hope he doesn't start charging more because he is worth it. I feel like a serious nuthugger here but I can't say enough good things about this guy!

First of all: spend a day in the western (french speaking) part of Switzerland.
After that: bring a Hawaii-shirt (an ugly one if possible), guns, ammo and fake flower wreath are available there. :D
