1911's Pics Thread

I must have one of those 100th Anniversary guns ... heavy sigh. a pic of my WMK marked WW1 pistol to help alleviate the pain.

WMK is the original 1911 repro right? How does it shoot?
I have yet to fire mine, that should be quite a treat: 1st time shooting a 1911, 1st time shooting a 45acp even. I'm used to polymer 9/40.

Mine comes out for special occasions but I have yet to shoot it, I doubt I ever will.

Presentation Grade 1911

My fifth 1911,

Colt 1911 Presentation Grade with genuine elephant ivory grips, series 70 mechanism, pre-WWI slide markings, Royal Colt Blue finish, "A" level engraving coverage and startburst pattern grips screws.

Bellero - I've been "into" 1911's for ~ 30 years now. Likely have had ~ 100 differents ones over the years, including some early Colt examples.

I can't think of any words that do justice to that beauty you have there. A truly "one of a kind".

Coming from you, that compliment really means a lot but it's not the only one like this in Canada tho.

Thanks

Nice. You know Kimbers have been getting a lot of flack for the parts they use but my Desert Warrior is awesome. Just love these guns. Won't be the last Kimber I own.

Desert Warrior has no firing-pin safety and it's the only of the few Kimbers that I personally know runs with no hiccups.

My second 1911. Norinco NP29 in 9mm. pretty basic, just got some 10 round mags for and got a flat main spring housing on the way
Plan on using it for IDPA this year.
