Hi,
My recently arrived 1917 Enfield No1 MK3 seems to have quite a few missing parts (undisclosed by the seller
). Best I can figure is that the/a previous owner replaced the fore-stock and the parts I've indicated below remained "captured" in the original stock. I have trouble believing that someone who cared about what they were doing would purposely reassemble a rifle leaving out a half dozen parts, but maybe there's something I don't know. I've checked Marstar and Liberty Tree and it seems a couple of the parts are available, but the nosecap nut, the inner band spring and the fore-end collar don't seem to be available anywhere
My question is: would any of the parts below been left out for a "good" reason ? Or is it more likely I purchased a hastily assembled rifle meant to be turned over fast for profit ?
Any help, clarification or advice appreciated.
