Picked up refurbed sks with a force matched replacement dust cover that has been partially scrubbed but it appears to be dated 1948. The 1 is completely gone, the 9 is only just visible and the 48 is pretty easy to make out. There is also part of the tula star that is still visible. Rest of the gun is nothing special, looks like an early 53 tula judging by the other features although what is interesting is it has an early style bolt & carrier with the spring loaded firing pin.
