1st impressions - Dominion Arms Grizzly Mag 18.5 Folder (pics) Updated.

Well, I also couldn't get the knoxx supplied screw out of the stock to try another screw, so I tightened it further and now its seated just fine. Looks like it was the last bit of the nut on the grizzly that was tight, once through it's ok, but very tight.

The fore-end, mmhh, yes, needed a little 'fitting' but now its just fine and I like it a lot more than the original one.

Pics...it's exactly the same as the one above :)

Okay, Problem 1: Ejector spring bracket edge is not flush with the barrel. It extended outward too much to the point that when the extractor would pull the shell out, it would catch on the ejector bracket edge. FIX: File that edge down! It worked...

Problem 2: Inside of the chamber was too roughly finished. After I fired a high brass Federal slug, the chamber gripped onto the shell too tight to let go. I had to wait for the gun to cool before I could slam it open. I had a friend take a flap sander bit to the inside to smooth it out. The shotgun performs wonderfully now!

My reference to the paint wear. I'll probably end up polishing it. I'll post some photos if I go through with it.

A little skeet shooting told me that there's an issue with this Fab Defense PR-870 fore grip. With the recoil, my thumb jammed into the picatiny rail on the left side... I'll be removing that rail obviously. Flashlight will be placed on the right side. The only downside to that is I will not be able to actuate the flashlight toggle with my thumb.

The fore grip held up great through about 200 shells. I would recommend it to a friend.

The ghost ring sights worked awesome for skeet shooting. Super fast and easy to find the skeet as soon as I'd shoulder the gun.

That's a new fix. Never heard of that one. Sanding the mag lips is a common fix I have tried. I have only shot about 50-60 rounds since sanding my mag lips with no jams but that doesn't mean it won't jam. I will take a look at this fix as well. The quality control on the Grizzly mag feds leaves a lot to be desired but if you pay the low price to buy one and then put the work in to make it reliable I guess it's worth it. Myself I wouldn't want to sell a product in that condition. Only Grizzly mag shotgun I have seen at a competition was at the Napanee shoot several months back which had over 130 rounds. His never jammed once. I forgot to ask him if he did anything to it. Mine was horrible at first. Jammed every second or third round.
