2/3 size IPSC Target

There are some small pockets of interest in Europe and in South America (especially Brazil) but it's hardly catching on.

It's a very odd duck...a morphing of Standard and Open...
Not sure about calling it an odd duck....really it's neither fish nor fowl.
You could call it a poor Open gun trying to be more Standard, or a bad Standard gun trying to be Open...
I'd hate to see revolver go away, it may not be popular in Europe, but it's growing in popularity here.

Well... there are "Duty" matches. Duty guns and service ammo ;-)

Would that be .38spl duty loads with a PF of less than 125. IDPA is contemplating dropping the PF for Stock Service Revolver to around 110. 19 out of 20 factory brands tested did not make PF of 125. Tough league when you have to load +P .38spl just to make min. PF of 125.

Heh I use 8.5" x 11" IPSC targets to practice on at 10 yards. Makes the targets look so much bigger when I shoot my Qualifiers in the Spring. "B" Class in Production isn't all that bad for an old bugger with a bad back.:D

See you Sean at the Nationals next year.

lets hope those are all legal to use Sean, and that the drawing doesn't change....

so who is going to be the first one to put those at 50m for a match?

They're based on the published specifications from IPSC.
If IPSC wants to change it, they will pay for a new die.
And trust me, the dies ain't cheap.

It's another option that will help make (mainly indoor ranges) matches interesting.
One more color for the painter that is the Match Director. :D

I would agree if you wee able to mix the 2/3 targets with the full size targets...but last time I checked (that was in the summer) that was not going to be allowed.

2/3 target

so far 1/2 of the stages at MIC 2010 will be 2/3 target

and for my point of view .......just shoot those damm A's and it will be ok
