Does anyone have experience with this bullet out of 300 mag of some type? I was concidering trying some instead of the Accubond and wondering about preformance on game. At 3000fps and below. Thanks

Let me guess, out of a newly acquired 300 H&H![]()

I shot my first elk with these bullets out of a .300 win mag at over 2900 fps. The shot was close (under 50 yards) and the bullets totally came apart. The elk died but the damage was brutal. These bullets are great out of a .30-06, but not for the .300 win mag.
ya the speers will be fine. don't use nosler i hate them. they don't apply as much shock and energy to the animal. i use vmax 95 out of my 260 rem on deer. couldn't ask for better results. not much meat in the ribs to be saved anyhow that doesn't get bruised from other "big game bullets " nice term uh
Obviously you have never seen the damage caused be a 200 grain Nosler Partition.
If there is a better performing bullet (for a 30 cal mag) than the 200grain Partition I have not seen it.
It sure as hell is not surpassed by the 200Speer.
The 300H&H is old, but it still sends the bullet as fast as the "new and improved" versions.
Fast enough to destroy a weak bullet.
I find a 30mag so loaded every bit the equal of a 338win.
It puts a truly impressive hurt on game.
I figure the Nosler Accubond is the best bullet dollar-for-dollar in terms of accuracy and terminal performance, on the market today... so why do you wanna try the Speer?
