Just got me a 'hand select' svt40: Requested a 2 port brake, naval stock, with a single slot clasp. The only issue is a single stock repair, no 'sniper' notch - and the safety doesn't flip to the right side . Well, I got everything I was looking for, to accompany my m38!

Ordered mine yesterday. I like the fact that I just bought a rifle from the other end of the country!

Thanks Lever Arms for this awesome deal!

Is there any place you haven't called looking for a '45?

I was in Vernon a while ago and Del Sellins said they had someone call and offer $1000 for one if they could find it. I laughed and thought: oO0( Bet that was DJ :D )

I can't help but think you've driven prices up all on your own by calling every gun shop in this fine land!

That was me ;)
I probably haven't called EVERYWHERE in this fine country but I've called a LOT of places lol Good thing I have unlimited long distance!

I have had good luck with lever arms when I bought my sks last year (yes just one) and I hope the quality is just as good and they get me a rifle with features that I requested. from the looks of things here I shouldn't be dissapointed... but we'll see next week!

Got my tracking num for 2 SVT i only thing i've asked is a clean bore and a naval stock the rest is gonna be a surprise...

And DJdeadlyDALEK i still got you Kovrov and i changed my mind its a keeper,it was the finnish mosin fever that pushed me to trade it....

I'm glad you're happy with her - I thought you were trying to sell her because you were having issues with her but I'm glad to hear she's still all good

Mine has moved into the processing stage - they couldn't find a 1942 Izzy for me, so I changed it to a 1940. Will post pics when she arrives and I'd love to see pics of everyone else's when you guy's get yours too!

Received some good news today. My rifle should be waiting at the Post Office when I swing by after work today. Fingers crossed it's what I asked for.

I just received my hand picked SVT 40's this morning. I ordered two rifles with Marine stocks, and asked them to pick ones that were in as nice condition as possible. When I pulled the first one from the box I could not believe my eyes, they sent me a genuine sniper with a 12 port muzzle break and no stock repairs whatsoever. It was built in 1941 and looks unissued and the. stock is matching.

Rifle No2 was built in 1940 and also has a matching stock with no repairs, It has a 4 port muzzle break and what I think is a refurb mark on the receiver. ( I just discovered it's a converted SVT 38 ) It has been used but only very lightly.

According to the SVT 40 sticky they were both made at the Tula arsenal and the 1940 non sniper is a converted SVT 38.

I will check the bores later today. :)

Before anyone asks I do know the difference between a sniper and a non sniper.

The bores on both rifles are mint.

I've been looking for a naval stock for some time. I emailed/ordered on their site 5 days ago but no reply yet.
These will all be gone by the time they get back to me.
