2000-3000$ scope, what would you buy?

I have a Preimer and it is awesome to say the least, got a good price on the EE and never looked back. I really can't think of anything negative about it. The glass is excellent, I was not sure about the MTC when I first got it, but now that I have used it, it would be difficult to go back and I find it helps me keep track of where I am in my rotation without having to look up. As for budget optics, I have owned 2 sightrons and I think they are the best bang for the buck right now, although the Bushnell is not far behind. I just wish Sightron had more MIL/MIL FFP models.

Keep in mind every eye sees through glass differently. Scopes are like eye glasses. What looks great to one person may not be so great to the next person. When looking through the scope study the leaves of a tree, or bark on trunk, and see if you can really make out things in 3 D if you can, you found a good scope. S&B and Swaro (kahles) Meopta mainly the european glass, is often the clearest and best for most eyes and most types of eyes. Really spend time looking through the scope, then when you found the glass, buy the one with the options you want. You will never be unhappy with your decision if you use that criteria....
