2006 deer photo's

Kevin, you know what? That is the first big game animal I have ever seen with a 303 laying beside it! There has been so many animals taken with that under rated brush gun yet no pics to be seen. Thanks for the pic! And congrats!:p

I guess my statement isn't all true, The Lady who helped me get started hunting killed a charging grizzly with her WWI Ross rifle!!!!!!!!! :runaway:

yep it is a golden oldie, and that wasn't a brush shot either, but 150 yards across open prairie.

My best northcoast buck

Well this is the best deer I have ever shot, a great little blacktail. It is a wonder that there are any deer left with all the great pics in here. Good luck with the rest of the season guys ours ends in a couple weeks.

Here's my '06 whitetail:

Shot him at first light on Nov. 21. I was glassing a field with my buddy and while we were watching a doe, another doe and this guy showed up. It was tough seeing his antlers against the background but once he turned broadside I knew he was a good one! ;)

I shot him straight on in the neck at 200m and the bullet drove up beside his spine about half his length. I was using a Sako 75 in 300 Win Mag w/ 150gr Power Points (definitely not my first choice in bullets for that rifle but I was in a last minute jam) and homemade shooting sticks to rest on.

Good size body on him and I'm going to get a European mount done with the rack...it should look great!

I've got a few extra pics of the buck, bullet, my buddies "half rack buck" and a moose we were talking to: :D

Then please come out to Alberta and help us shoot more deer! we are being over run by anti hunters and need reinforcements NOW!

Have you got a place for me to stay?
I have a buddy that goes to Alberta every year and has a great time, I would love to go, I just don't have enought time bacause i have not seen enough of BC yet.

I shot a 6x5 buck Nov 7 06 .It was standing in a field beside a 50 in bull moose eating away. Got him at 8:00 am. I got home from night shift, grabbed my gear, drove 10 minutes from home. i have enough venison for the winter. Too bad i didn't have a moose tag, could have had him too. We have so many deer this year that Fish&Wildlife are giving extra tags free. Come to Alberta and shoot all you want.

Is this one of those tricks where me and my hunting buddies come visit you and when we get there everyones gone and the tire tracks suspiciouly lead to our hunting areas??

Got this guy on the 13th of November using a Remington Model 760 in .270 w/ 130gr. Win Silvertips. He came out of the woods on the run at about 100 yds, slowed and turned at about 60 yds. Bang flop!
No Scale, but the butcher estimated his weight around 225lbs field dressed.
