2010 Coyote pictures(post yours)

I would love to get some quick advise from you coyote hunters. My friends father has asked if my friend and I could get the coyotes that are on his property before they get the deer stuck in the snow. I guess my question is what do you do with them? Are they good to eat or do you just skin them and use the pelts. I just ask cause although the father has no problem with just killing them my friend and I are not too fond of the idea of killing them and doing nothing with the animal. Thanks

Know how you feel. However you can't eat them and the fur has little or no value. Just leave them for something else or as bait as others have said. Good for you and your friend for wanting to do the right thing. One time the fur was used and had value.

I guess right now it all comes down to if we want all the game we usually hunt to be there next year. The wolves and coyotes have driven most of the deer/rabbits/turkeys off his land and with all the deep snow the deer are sitting ducks. Going to have to figure it all out, wouldnt be so bad if I figured out how to tan the hide and made something for myself out of it.

they say that a wolf or coyote will eat forty deer in his or her lifetime. So best to just shoot them on sight. There will always be coyotes.

Shot guns and rifles, thanks for the offer but we do it for fun and there are lots of deer in our hunting area.If I could only hunt one animal I think it would be coyote or Turkey not sure on that one yet.Coyote for sure.I will post today's dogs when the camera man sends them to me.

ok but have a second look at your group...if there is someone that is having probs in being able to buy ammo, due to lack of work or whatever...i,ll donate some :).. what they dont know wont hurt them;)
more pics of dead yotes plz:dancingbanana:

Thanks if you really want to spend your money give a guy down on there luck a little paper next time you walk but one.
The cost to shoot a coyote is probably in the Hundreds of dollars per animal maybe Thousands if you add in all the expenses .This week the group combined likely burnt over a g note in gas.

I called in two this morning. I missed a broadside 200 yard shot:bangHead: and had another at 50 yards but he smelt me right before i seen him and he cut into some willows and was gone bahhhh. Both answered my calls within 1 minute of playing it (two differnet stands)

Predator calls

Gents,

What would the experienced coyote hunters here recommend as an entry level call?

I want to give coyote hunting a try this year. A friend has a 'yote infestation on his property, he counted 15 at once from his tree stand while trying to get a deer this year.

I've read that the Foxpro callers are well though of but I can't justify $500 for a caller I may never use again.

What do you recommend? Electronic, mouth-blown. . .?

Thanks

I can almost guarantee you that you will use it again after you call your first one in. It can be an addicting experience. :)

Regards,

Chizzy
