Hah. The hardest part of reloading is just getting all the components. Having no local source of Benchmark I had to break down and mail-order a keg.

I too am behind on my reloading. I have 600 .204 to load. Everything's ready to go, just need to get some time...

So. Any events scheduled for this year's shoot? We've heard tell of cannons, flaming gasoline cans, exploding meals and fruity beer. What can we expect this year?

Speaking of flaming. Every year there is a shortage of firewood. As far as I know you can't bring firewood into the province and many of us are from outside SK. Are there any people who live close to the shoot who can bring wood? I'd be willing to kick in cash for something better than the punky, creosote-soaked stuff we've been burning. Perhaps there's someone nearby who can sell us a cord.

Also. I ask that anyone with a big tarp bring them along. The weather can vary greatly and we usually build some sort of shanty-shelter around the fire to block the wind, rain, and snow. Someone brought a huge spool of twine last year and that helped us piece it all together. Perhaps this year we can build a frame we can use every year.

I'm getting pretty excited to get on the road already. I've paid my dues to the weather gods so I guarantee fine weather this year. I can't wait to see old friends and meet some new ones.

Yes. :D

I'm going to be bringing lots. Probably not a cord, but as much as I can cram on/in after everything else is loaded.

I think the big tarp should still be there, and the cord also. Good idea about a frame...I'll toss some longer boards on also in case (hopefully not though) we might need them.

WhooHoo! Only 2 weeks to go!

i was just gonna grab a couple of bundles at the first gas stop over the border

For events, I was planning on regaling everyone with an interpretive dance around the campfire.....
Everyone likes interpretive dance right?

I'll make sure I have wood to contribute for the fire as well. Don't have any tarps though....

AAAAAHHHHHH....crud. Anyone bringing a 20 guage? I bought 200 rounds of what I thought was 12 guage and it turns out half of them are 20g. Oops, forgot to look at the boxes before I brought them home. And yes, "Shirley" is waiting for you...:)

I have a 20 guage, but its in retirement and getting a good makeover :D

Harvs tarp should be there still....and there is no shortage of firewood, there is just a shortage of men willing to go and cut it!! LOL!!!

And I am looking forward to Newspeaks interpretive dance...I heard it involved a flaming can of gasoline.....

^^
:)
Naw, nothing that fancy. The majority of people who see me perform it, tell me that it looks strikingly similar to a guy getting trashed, while lounging next to the fire.

No 20 gauge here, either. I sold mine last year.

i've got a 20 i was planning on brining.

Is there anyone locally that delivers wood? In Winnipeg I had a cord delivered for like 150$.. If we each chip in $20 we would have all kinds of wood.

I think I left a couple tarps there last year... I'll bring another one this year!

I went for a walk the other night in a pasture and realized the grass if very tall. Do you think this will affect the sight of ghophers in the pastures? maybe doing this event later in the spring might hurt us more than bad weather ever could......

Iam pumped up, can't wait...

We can use shotguns to trim the grass down and then blast with the .22'S!!!!!!!
