2012 BCRA Tactical Rifle Championship Course of Fire

Anyone in the Victoria BC area interested in partnering for this shoot?
I'm technically proficient but light on trigger time at these distances. However, am keen to develop the skills and put the time in to be competitive.
 
Don't worry about finding a partner if you don't find one before the match. There are usually plenty of folks looking for one at the match. But with that said if you can find someone and get some practise together it definitely can't hurt.
 
Thanks Longshot, good to know. Obviously my preference is to find and work with a partner beforehand but shooters appear thin on the ground in Victoria - or are well camouflaged...
 
Judging from the busy rifle range, and line up for the tac bays at Victoria Fish and Game, I'd say "well camouflaged"..
That is one busy range...
And a fantastic facility- you guys are pretty lucky.
 
You're right Doc, it is a great facility. I think my next move is a notice in the member's newsletter.

You can be a spectator if you want but really it would be a waste of a trip to the range.Bring your rifle.Any questions?Ask.Its NOT like IPSC where people wont give you the time of day ;) Everyone is there to have fun and if someone needs a hand you WILL get it!
 
Just spoke with Ed, He Has a surgery later this month for his Eye,So he has not been on the computer much.
He asked me to Let everyone know That if you are planning to attend , By all means send in your entry forms ASAP , That way It is MUCH easier to arrange target pullers, The Sat BBQ,shirts,prizes ......Pretty much everything! (I sent mine in a couple of weeks ago).
And If Anyone wants to ask Ed a question He said It is best to call him direct by phone.
It is 165$ for the 3 days ( includes One T-shirt) extra,s are 25 per if paid by Aug 1
20 for the Thurs walk back (sight in)
and 65$ a day if not able to shoot all 3 days of Competition

So 185$ for all 4 days.

Well worth every penny! I Love this shoot:)

Back from dealing with a medical issue and getting ready for another provincial
Championship match - I personally will not be competing this year but will be
Throwing all my efforts into making the match the best possible experience for all those that are shooting , with that folks I need you all interested in shooting this match to get your entries in ASAP as the logistics for this match are a challenge the more information I have re entries the smoother the preparation
So far I have entries from BC ,Alberta , Salem Or USA

Hello all,

Ok folks, I have as well as others have brought registering for our shoot up in the past and now the cold hard facts need to be addressed !!!,at this point last year I had 37 entrants this year I have 11 ,I am unaware of why this so Economy , lack of interest, apathy ? .This puts this match in jeopardy !!!.this particular match requires preregistration to effectively prepare and coordinate- Markers,trophies,Sponsors,Tshirts,sentries etc and at this point I will not follow up with sponsors ( as sponsors will not receive appropriate support and or advertising by low registration and as such I will not jeopardize this Match's credibility by accepting swag that will not effectively promote the sponsors effectively ).

Trophies are another matter, 14 trophies represent this shoot as well as several BCRA bullion badges I will not order trophies or badges with out appropriate numbers to reflect expense or and most importantly the credibility that goes with trophies won in a Provincial championship, T shirts will not be ordered , BBQ will not take place , and Markers and support staff will not be employed ( can not efectively predict numbers required ) preregistration is a predictor of requirements

At this point I have not cashed any cheques sent to pay for match fees and will hold them untill the end of first week of August , at that point I will review entries and consider options
