I can't get enough of hunting with a black rifle. For two seasons now I've carried a Robinson Arms XCR in 6.8 SPC and it's quickly become one of my favorite hunting guns..... If it weren't for me loaning my Browning 270 and Weatherby 7mm to a couple new hunters, they wouldn't see the woods in deer season anymore. Today was opener here in 60A for deer and I took this guy 1 hour in as he came crashing through the bush after a doe. Not a horrible start to the season.....

Never hunted big game with a black gun...well other than brown bear with an AK47 once but that's another story...lol....but after seeing your picture I sure would like to try deer right here in North America. Another addition to the bucket list. Thanks for sharing!

May not qualify as a real black rifle - but here's my version of a hunt ready black (???) rifle. Without the walnut stocks it no longer looks just like yer grandpa's deer rifle. It's 35 Whelen semi, 18 1/2" barrel, Blackhawk (no spring model) with a Limbsaver and a rubber pistol grip wrap . It needs a pic rail and a far more tacticool scope to complete. Have hunted it a few times but never shot any game yet with it.

It points real fast and is great to carry. Been a reliable feeder too.

Well the XCR came through for me again today. I made a trip to Huntsville with my dad to hunt a friend's property today and after patterning the deer yesterday, I set up a stand this afternoon and less than an hour later, a doe and buck ran through under it. Double tap! :D
