Looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces....and lots of new ones this season.
 
Tagged for interest. How critical is clinic attendance? I'm hoping to try a shoot this year, and I'd love to attend a clinic, but unfortunately it looks like I can't make any of the clinic dates due to prior commitments. Is clinic attendance a pre-requisite, or can a guy with a little previous competitive experience manage not to #### up if he reads up on the match rules beforehand?
 
For CQB, just register and come to a match. We run the morning as a practice match and then the real match after that. Your always paired up with another experienced shooter who is your safety and they'll help with the rules etc. Clinics are nice to haves but not required.

For SR, the clinics are still not required but since your shooting on your own on the line moving, it can be a bit much for a first timer. However if 17/18 year olds fresh out of BMQ/SQ (BMQ-L) can do it.... ;-)

A link to the rule book and course of fire would really help.
 
Rechecking post one caused me to send a panicked late night email to our fearless organizer! I am amazed by the amount of full matches, this is going to be a busy year!

Any newbies considering this kinda game? Get on the list while you still can. I cannot stress the importance of pre-registering. I am not fear mongering (yer #### will fall off .... ) but telling all of ya da truth! The last thing TimK wants to do is turn people away. We also have soldiers showing up; guess who gets bumped? All the un-registered walk-ons. So sorry, too bad , so sad! :(

When was the last time you saw this kind of response to matches around here? :evil:

Wow, CQB full already. We should figure out a way to open a second bay, and split evenly. With it this full, new people will get turned off and turned away. Maybe a bay where newbees can come and experienced help them.
