2013 Whitetail's lets see them

Took this in Manitoba with my ATRS 308.
 
My hunting partner holding this years trophy. He came in to rattling and stopped about 40yds away. His left antler hangs sideways due to the broken skull at the base. He must've had a heck of a headache!!

LOL Great picture. I had a picture of my little guy about the same age sitting inside the cavity of the moose I had just cleaned. Had about the same look on his face lol
 
I'd recommend clear packing tape next time and a 2 mega pixel cellphone camera. Adds more realism.

It would make a great shoulder mount for the hunt camp.

That right there is awesome!!! I can't wait till my little fella is old enough to accompany me! He was some proud when I got home this year with my buck, he couldn't get enough of it. Lol.

Congrats, I'm envious. ;)

162g Hornady SST out of my 7rem mag at 2980FPS MV. Bullet weighs 95g. Was found against the hide on the far side, probably my second shot at 75yards. First shot at 150 yards passed out the far side.
Both were broad side lung shots.

This guy was taken 10 mins before legal time ended this evening. Here's a Saskatchewan brute. 8x7 and heavy.

My best Whitetail to date. I'm hoping to win the bets at work this year.
 
My first white tail on my first hunt with a rem 600 3x with 308 180gr rem core lokt round nose at 400yrds dropped where he stood or walked really.

...sigh another year no deer for me.

I saw 3 deer this year while out ... all after/before legal light, I have not seen a single deer during day time in any publics lands I have hunted on. They are are fully nocturnal and run at 500-600m when a vehicle passes.

I can't even get them to move, tracks into a 200m cops of trees. you can walk through , drive around, shoot a gun, they won't budge out.
 
2013 Alberta Buck.....Me and the old Timer got it done again this year! However this time dad shared his horse shoe and I was the Trigger man :) ......shot him through the neck @ 40 yards in the middle of a hay field!
6x5 with split brows and a couple small stickers ,178 6\8".

MAJOR Buck fever for sure!....saw him come out of the thick bush 500 yards away....like I had him on a string he ran right towards me,then stopped at 40 yards!?!? I was hiding behind a hay bail, he never did see me.Right place at the right time!

Jeeze no kidding. Maybe he winded you a little at that distance and stopped to see where the smell was coming from?
