2014 Eastern F-Class Championships - ENTRY FORM IS UP & A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

With what we are proposing a Jewell trigger would not be allowed, but as was mentioned it would be intended as a "greenhorn" class. If you are a new shooter then bring what you have, and shoot in the "New shooter, or factory class", or otherwise shoot in one of the regular divisions

Dates confirmed and calendar is marked (in ink).
When is the Registration open and form going to be available?

What is your call for attendance this year? 50 plus would be great>>>>

Scott I think you should reconsider triggers allowed, fellows shooting factory savage rifles would have a advantage, with there accu trigger being able to get down to 4 or 5 ounces
over,Remingtons X-Mark Pro™ Trigger System - Remington at 2lbs and the not so great triggers in Tikkas, Brownings, Sakos etc.
Maybe any after market triggers should be allowed to even the playing field for a Factory class rifle

Gord, we are hoping to exceed 50 people this year, and are looking at whether we'll need to cap it at just north of that to still keep it manageable. Barry and I would both still like to be able to shoot this thing!

We're still playing around with the course of fire so that we play nicely with the TR shoot that will be alongside, but the plan is to offer 2 team matches at 900m.

With respect to the "Greenhorn" class, I think the intent is for it to be a "bring what you have" type deal. We want to provide new shooters with an opportunity to find out why this sport is so damned addictive without having to break the bank first. If we can collectively provide them with a great experience I'm certain they will be back, and my view is that the less restrictive we can make this the better.

I'll be working with Barry this week to get the entry form updated, and up on the website. Stay tuned for more info this week.

Cheers,

Scott

Just wanted to let everyone know that the entry form is up on the website and we now are officially accepting entries.

www.easternfclass.ca

We are limiting this year's event to 54 shooters so make sure to get your entry in early.

I'm also very happy to announce that we will be introducing a new trophy this year; the Don McGinnis Memorial Trophy will be presented to the winners of the F-Open and F-TR Grand Aggregates, and we are hopeful that we will have members of Don's family on hand to make the inaugural presentation.

Cheers,

Scott

Hi Scott,
Just a BTT for the post and was going to ask "are you filled up yet?"
Heard we've got some southern visitors for the Nats, are any going to make the Regionals?

Hope to be able to see you "all" at the Vic Daze Matches to get in some "warm up time".
Regards
Gord

We've probably got room for another 10, but please get your entries in to Barry before Monday (by email), as we have to get markers arranged and shirts ordered, etc.

Looking forward to having you there Darin. Did you figure out what happened on Sunday?

For someone that is interested in trying F-Class, but not keen on dropping $300 for a match fee...how do I get started? Intro days? Newby shoots?

I'll send you a PM. Short story is join NCRRA and you can shoot almost every Wednesday and Sunday, and choose to participate in competitions if and when you feel like it.
