2014 Shot Show: Rossi Circult Judge Revoler Carbine

But im wondering why they say its a revolver with 19 " barrel ? isnt the browning buckmark rifle is a pistol too ?(im not complaining about the buckmark being NR just questionning myself)

SHHH! Don't say that too loud or the Buckmark will end up on the naughty list!

Apparently this gun has a pistol receiver; therefore it is restricted.
The Browning Buckmark does not have a pistol receiver, therefore it is non-restricted. Its receiver is not the same as a Browning pistol's receiver; it has the integral extensions on which the buttstock is mounted.
If the gun were made with a different, unique frame shape in the grip, it could be a non-restricted firearm. This s why the repro Remington pattern revolver carbines are non-restricted.

The browning buckmarks carbine frame is different from its pistol brother due to the stocm being intergrated into the frame itself. Where as the rossi's frame is unchanged and the carbine stock attaches the same method as regular pistol grips for that frame do. This is the understanding I have as to why the Rossi got different treatment from the buckmark.

You must be right other then that i dont see any other reason.

But the RCMP really think that someone will buy this and remove the stock to put the pistol grip with 18.5 " barrel !?!? not logical if you ask me,but hey the RCMP is here to make this country more safe !

Why can't one of our importer talk to Rossi to make a line of production for Canadian market only? I know its not a huge market like USA but at least they will have good business here :) at least from us
