2015 BC Precision Rifle Championship June 19-21, 2015

OK! Really?? Can you guys please read the very first post on this thread that I put up in March??? It says right on it: Motel Information. CAMPING INFORMATION: You click on the link and it will take you to the camping information page in particular information on camping at the range.
Also since March, you can also find the same CAMPING INFORMATION on the BC Precision web site at : http://www.bcprecisionrifle.com/Entry_Forms.html
I will be camping at the range like I have every year since 2010. That was when we were no longer permitted to use the Shacks at the base in Chilliwack.

Hello All,

Folks ,we have to get the markers to the range for Saturday and Sunday , they must get to range or our match will be jeopardized
The 3 of us that run this match can't do everything, we have to be at range earlier then everyone else to setup and prepare and just don't have the time we need 10 markers / 10 rides ......come on guys

Regards
Ed

I am staying at the Vedder River Inn - I am happy to pick up 2 markers.

The small bags for the first 20 shooters to register are ready and packed for this weekend. :)

I will also have extras for sale along with a few medium and larges bags........and a few barricade rests as well.

We will also be donating a prize for the top Greenshot/Tryo ......... ;)

Looking forward to Friday !!!!!!!!

Folks , we need rides for markers ! Everybody will be driving past pick up point on way to shoot !!!
So I guess here is the deal so everybody is informed , if I or one of the other three volunteers have to shuttle back and forth and pick up markers we will,no problem at all !!!However the match will STOP in fact set up and prep , range opening procedures etc will not begin until after we return ! The result will be hours of delay Each day and will mean the course of fire will be shortened / modified accordingly ,same goes with returning markers to pick up point each day the match will be stopped early so we can do our administrative work score, replace targets etc for next day and then we will drop markers back ......your choice ,another example I guess of the 1% doing 95% of the work ....your choice ,you have been informed

I think there might be people not on this thread who will show up for the match - I am sure we can sort something out during tomorrows walk-backs.

I'll be able to pick up and return 2 markers. I wasn't 100% sure which vehicle I would be using. Now I am.

I can pick up one or two markers on Saturday and Sunday depending on how space in my car ends up looking. Will need to rush back to the ferry on Sunday when we conclude. My shooting partner and I will be there for the second walk back on Friday.

How do we sign up? Do we just pick them up if they're there when we drive past Fred's?

Final Update from Logistics and Scoring

The Markers:
The markers are the young folks that operate the targets for you. Picking up target markers works like a drive thru. There will be a person with a list and they will assign markers for you to take. As soon as you have your load then head to the range. You do not need to wait around.
Pick up location: 7:30 am Fred's Custom Tackle, 5580 Vedder Rd. Corner of Vedder Rd and Keith Wilson Rd.
At the end of the day Saturday and Sunday there is a lot of folks heading down. Any one with a spare seat please take a marker and drop them off at the same location. Their parents are waiting for them so it is important that they not be late when we return them.

Camping Update:
Camp fires are permitted at the Vokes Range Bivouac as there is no ban on campfires in the Coastal Fire Centre as of 2015/06/18. There is no fire wood available so please bring some with you if you wish to have a camp fire. In the past we have had a communal camp fire. Reminder: No consumption of alcohol permitted on Vokes Range property. No potable water is available.

Walk Backs Friday:
Pay your fee first if you did not do it in advance. Just show up at either of the two time slots. Be ready on the range at 0900 for morning session or 1300 for the afternoon session.

A popular place for shooters to gather after a days match is the Jolly Miller Pub. 5865 Vedder Rd.

See you down range...

Are spectators allowed to show up and watch the match?? I know in past years they have been as long as they know someone who is shooting the match........
The Match Directors approval is required for any one coming to the match. There was a problem last fall at the Vancouver Island Regional with a "civilian" taking photos of shooters with out permission. There are professionals that come to this event with the understanding they will not be photographed.

If im off work in time saturday morning i can pick up as well. Will there be a booklet to keep track of scores like last time or should i print one off?
