2015 BC Precision Rifle Championship June 19-21, 2015

I want to thank Ed and all the volenters for an excellent match. It ran smooth. I herd no complaints. The match was challenging and fun, the heavy mirage (funny how it's spelt MI Rage  )made it that much more challenging Congrats to all winners. Hats off to the guy who came out to give it a go with his 204 hunting rig, and his friend with the hunting 223. Hope to see everyone back next year.

Thank you all for a great match! So much went into the various stages. It was a great learning opportunity for me. It was my first match but it won't be my last.
I have a huge list of things I need to do to be better next time. Oh and yes, the mirage was a bear!

Thanks again! :d

Match was great. Thanks to all the volunteers for putting it on, it's very much appreciated.

The new stages and new target were great. I really liked the new dynamic of being assigned a target and having to find that target amongst numerous options. It added a new dynamic to the match over last year that made it fun and challenging.

The "on my command" or "simon says" stage, was great. I totally got burnt by it, but it was fun and hope it appears next year.

Liked the new agony snap targets, very nice job, although some were near impossible to distinguish during heavy mirage.

Hotel was awesome, I hope that stage continues next year. Also really liked shooting off the "roof top", never got to do that before, it was surprising how much the rifle jumped around.

I had a blast, I really hope this match continues in the coming years. Last year was a great match, this year was even better. Feels like PR is starting to get on a roll now, really hope it continues.

Again, thanks to all the volunteers, directors, organizers, and scoring. I know a lot of effort went in at the event as well as in prep time before the event, you did an amazing job and event ran smoothly.

Also a big thank you to all the kids that come out. Most of the kids looked like they were 90 lbs if they were soaking wet, it must have been hard on them running the butts in that heat and sun.

I'd also like to thank the organizers and volunteers. This was my first time shooting past 200yards and while my scoring was very weak, I had a blast. I just wish I could have attended both days instead of just the Saturday.

Thanks Ed ! For organizing the event and set me up with an incredible rig, it makes coming all the way from Hawaii very easy.
I'll be registering early next year.

Is there any way we could try and organize some shirts for after the fact. I'd like two and my shooting partner one.
I have no problem with paying shipping, I need replacements for my 2005 and 2007 shirts....they're worn out

Aloha

Ahhhh, #####, seriously you guys for assigned a target and had to find it????? God damn, I've been asking for that in the matches for years. Damn damn damn.

That part was extremely fun. I'd love to do it again. I got lucky as my assigned target(pic #5) had a forehead/hairline that looked like a bright white teepee. Very distinct and easy to pick out. Looking through my scope, I had my cross hair held dead steady on that target almost every time(the target fell off once). But, I got zero hits. I suspect I must have screwed up the turret clicks that I dialed in when I changed from 500m to 400m as I was getting good hits(on the no hits;-) back at 500m. I'm so stoked for next year:)

It was a good match, albeit at times a very tough match with the amount of mirage and wind gusts which made identifying the smaller targets, and shoot/no shoot targets impossible at times.

Again, Thx to Ed, Paul, Philip and the rest of the volunteers for organizing and running the match!!!! Already thinking ahead to next year.... ;)

Great match with very challenging conditions, high heat, gusting winds and mirage were the theme for the three days. Mirage so thick that targets would flip-flop mirror image themselves at times. Had a great time and many thanks to the organizers, RSO's and all the volunteers who made the match possible. Good spirits were had by all despite the challenging conditions. Everyone was put to the test and those who came prepared were rewarded with points for score. The course of fire included the standard 600m challenges and a mix of target identification at multiple distances - those with a capable spotter and spotting optic had the advantage, especially during the shoot/no shoot agony match and hotel stage depending on the target you were assigned. The hotel stage was exciting and challenging for everyone and was a perfect pace to add just enough urgency especially with the conditions. The markers working the targets did a fantastic job. Shooters were assigned three targets at the initial match briefing that they would later have to identify and make hits on. It was a fun and welcome mix to the match, some of the persona's that competitors gave to their designated targets were truly great.

The wind and mirage played tricks on everyone and the added stress during a 'clear to fire' match resulted in many early disqualifications from the stage, penalizing those that were eager to get their rounds down range. The match was a true test of everyone's abilities and rewarded those who practiced improvised positions, wind reading and challenging conditions, including roof top shoots, standing/seated/kneeling and snap shots.

I look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Yeah for me the clear to fire match was a sleeper. It was fun and funny to see how many DQ'd by firing before the signal. I'm actually surprised I didn't DQ myself as in service rifle we shoot those snap targets as soon as they show. I had to self talk myself into NOT shooting. lol

As a newbie, I was realy happy to get through the clear to fire stage. I was worried I would derp it. Luckily, I didn't. I was surprised that so many did.
The "Sky Lining" and the "Pick your Poison" stages were where I totally knobbed out. I'm glad there is no video.

Team Results 2015 BC Precision Rifle Championship

It was a great turnout this year. This sport is an expensive endeavour and many of you traveled great distances to take part. Thank you for coming out. Being a part of this match is my favourite volunteer activity of the year. I find it remarkable what you folks can make pieces of copper do over long distances and or under adverse conditions using math, glass, metal and your skills.
This year the target count was really high. A lot of work was required prior to the match to prepare the targets. Stage 12 the Hotels and Stage 5 Target Specific alone required 320 targets each. I believe this added challenge to the match that was well worth the work. Thank you to Rod (unibomber), Len (KeltecFan) for preparing targets. Thank you to my nephew Grayson and his friend Dane for helping with the inventory, organizing and preparing targets. Thank you to Philip (BumpNSpin) the stats guy. Thank you Ed the match director for all his time, patience and financial support that make this match possible. Also thanks for his work on the course of fire. I thought this was the best course of fire we have ever had at the match. With Ed running the butts we completed all matches in a timely fashion and we were even able to throw up some test targets. That was great.

Please tell your friends and help promote this match. I hope next year we can make posters available to you so you can promote the match at your range and firearms businesses you shop at. If any of you shooters are traveling through Coquitlam, you are welcome to drop by my man cave to see my wall paper  and talk about the weather or even shooting. I hope to see you all again next year.
