2016 Canadian IPSC Nationals

Got my email the other day (don't remember which day) which is nice.
As for you 7.62, just post the bloody emails if you have issue with it. All this back and forth shadowy bull#### is seriously being a buzzkill

I know a lot of people who signed up and it seemed fair to me. Everyone I know on the waiting list was a little slow getting their stuff in compared to the ones who did get in. It seems like a fair process. You have to be quick just like signing up for most online matches. I doubt they singled you out 7.62 but I don't doubt a few human errors along the way. I have set up a lot of matches but never big ones like this. Can't be easy.

Does everybody received a confirmation that they are in the match or on the waiting list? 2 of my friends did not recieved anything yet. They registered at the same time as me...

They need to contact the MD. This was part of my confirmation email....
"Your registration for the IPSC Canadian Nationals this summer has been received, processed and you will be shooting the main match . If someone you know has not received this email, then they are either shooting the pre-match,(and have been informed so) are on the waiting list (and have been informed so) or we don't have their email address from their application and they should email us to get on the list. "

He contact the md maybe 2 weeks ago. The answer from the md was: "i'm volunteer for this match, i have just finish16 hours of works today. I still have 30 email before your email to answer."
So my friends is not too much willing to write him again....

Things (backlog) should have calmed down by now.
The right thing is to write again. Do remain polite and patient, do specify if your payment was cashed or not.
If not satisfied after this new attempt, it may be appropriate to bring the matter to our SC.

There was a time, not so long ago, that you didn't even find out what squad you were in, let alone what days you were shooting, until you arrived at the match. Yes, I realize that we are moving into a technology age where much of that information can be disseminated very easily, but to ask match organizers to have the information posted a month in advance is unrealistic. There will always be last minute adjustments, and whoever is charge of squadding is going to put it aside, and look at it with fresh eyes later.

It is better to publish a final, good squad list/schedule the week before the match, than to post it a month in advance, and have people whine and complain about small changes that have had to occur during the course of the month prior to the match start date.
