2016 CDTSA Multigun Matches **critical UPDATE Post 251 ** SEPT Match

Rifle Breakdown, 10,18,15,18 Perfect
Shotgun breakdown 10,10,10,16 Perfect
Pistol 10,12,12,12 Perfect
Slugs 2,0,0,0 Perfect
Other 2,0,0,0 Its a surprise :D

Thanks for that! So, I'll need another shell carrier (for the 16 rounder)!

Good...I wanted another one.

:ar15:

7.5 or 8 is fine. IE, normal target loads.

Im personally going to be using SCORE low recoil rounds 7.5. And SCORE high velocity slugs.
(If I was running my Benelli M4 then I would use Winchester super speed)

NO STEEL HUNTING STUFF. Lead only.

Hey Guys... any CDTSA members coming out on Saturday to help setup please PM me and let me know. Have to be CDTSA members for setup on Saturday due to insurance reasons. Everyone is welcome on Sunday for the match.

As Joka said a bunch of us will be camping out on the range on Saturday night as well so will be a good time.

Also, just another reminder for everyone coming out. Please make sure to only use Range Road 223 only (easy number to remember!). Don't just blindly follow GPS.

Hey clockwrkz, I was talking to Joka the other day. If I can get the day off work I will be there. I just wont know until 5:30am on Saturday. If I do end up working I can bring any very last minute things needed from Calgary on Sunday morning.

Clearly I need to spend more time on the internet. I showed up at Milo this morning with a jeep full of rifles, a couple of handguns for a day of zeroing and ringing steel.

So I was surprised to find a full 3-Gun match ready to go, and didn't have a single shotgun with me.

Definitely a good day for shooting and a good day for flying. I wish I'd done more of both.

Very well done guys... as an intro to the sport, this noob had a excellent time! My gear worked flawless, but I didn't... shooting under stress and varying scenarios has given me many areas to improve upon. A great learning experience with a great bunch of guys..

Thanks again, and I'll see you at the next event.

It was an excellent match indeed, had a fun time, learned what I needed to practice more on, what gear I needed to fine tune.... Thanks to Joka and the rest of the 3 gun team for setting up and hosting the course, and being very lenient to all the beginners.

already excited for the August match! wish there was a July one!

Excellent match to test abilities that I wouldn't of thought of! It was the funnest 3gun match I have been to
Thanks to everyone involved in getting this setup and ran

Definitely need to practice more and fix my XCR mag problems

Though I am glad I was able to hit the target with the golfball haha that was unexpected and added quite a new element to the mix

Can't wait for the next one

Wow... what a match that was! Was the largest match we've put on yet and went great!

Really happy to hear the feedback here and from everyone we talked to at the event. We all take it to heart in planning the new matches moving forward and it really encourages all of us. If you have videos or photos please post them up here. Would be great to see!

This match only happened because of the help received from the CDTSA members involved and support from the club. So a huge thank you to Karl, Jordan, and Jeff for helping design, run and setup the stages. Matt, Mike and Damir for coming all the way out and helping setup. And all the ROs and shooters who were out helping to run the event.

Also, a thank you to our sponsors: Proline Shooters in Calgary, Concept Controls and Cabelas's. These sponsors are really helping us grow the sport locally and giving us the freedom to design some really unique ideas for stages.

Nova316 - That golf ball shot was a one in a million shot! Awesome work!

We want to keep pushing the envelop this season with 2 more matches to come still!

Scores are still being tabulated and will be posted asap.

It was a fantastic match! I am glad to see the larger turn out. A lot of effort went into the planning of this match and it is very encouraging to see it pay off with happy feed back. Now its time to start think about the next one. Here is some video footage of me shooting. Unfortunately I forgot to turn on my camera for Carl Grimes run and only managed to turn it on for the rifle shooting on dragging your parashoot. After dragging that punching bag I had a harder time getting my shoots off when I try to stop my breathing but my body doesn't let me. I make some funny noises when doing my 200m shoots.

Nice shooting Carl ! The rifle stage after dragging that duffel bag got my heart going as well.... free handing my 9+lb SKS after that was an experience XD

You did pretty good with that sks of yours. You have obviously been practising reloading that system.

OH, Nova, I found the golf ball :) will upload a picture of it today. It struck that plate with a LOT of force.

AIRcav, I will upload my runs on those two stages, hopefully today.

A little constructive criticism, I did have a great time don't get me wrong.

Registration should be at 8AM and first shots at 9AM. I was on the last squad shooting and we were there pretty late for a Sunday.
If that's not possible maybe move the shoots to Saturday, So you have a day off before the work week begins.

All in all it was a great time. Thanks to all that helped organize the event.

Thanks for the feedback! Happy to hear it was a good day.

The day ran long for sure (and we designed some pretty big stages after all). We weren't really sure how many people we would get and response was more than I expected. We use to have first shots at 9 am but with the drive to Milo we pushed it back a bit to accommodate travel time.

We're going to talk this over and see what solutions we can come up with.
