Oh dear... that really put me off my dinner. Not only is it officially FUGLY, it's tasteless and... and...

Now where was I? Oh yes, the OP's Frankenrifle. Reminded me a little of famed Alaskan guide, Phil Shoemaker's well-used .458 Win., a Mauser 98 actioned beast which he has customized with various layers of epoxy until it fits him like a glove. In other words, no beauty but a "working rifle". There's an article on "Ole Ugly" in the July-Aug. issue of Rifle Magazine.

No worries ....... The specs were in place.

The rear base has two slots and because those weaver rings are so wide, they overhang a bit using the front slot. Looks worse in the pic than for real.

Much better... you are getting there, but have not arrived my young Jedi... we must address the misaligned screwhead slots and mount overhanging the rear base, in order to bring balance to the Force.
