With the 2017 World Shoot starting in August, the traditional dates for the Canadian Nationals would result in travel for the World Shoot happening 2 weeks after the Canadian Nationals. This would be a tight schedule, and in some cases an unworkable situation.

After discussion with the Regional Director and confirmation of available dates with host club we have determined that the dates of the 2017 IPSC Canada Nationals will be July 18-23, 2017. This will be 4 weeks before the World Shoot and the weekend following the Calgary Stampede. Based on traditional IPSC Alberta dates, this will mean that the 2017 IPSC Canada Nationals will be about halfway between the IPSC Alberta Provincials and the World Shoot.

Registration will open February 15, 2017 which will be 2 weeks after the Sections have registered their teams.

This web page will be the only official source of information regarding the 2017 IPSC Canada Nationals. The details on the webpage are bit thin right now, but we are still 14 months before the event.
 
Great to hear and thanks for the heads up. Our provincial team will be decided in August this year so the smart move is to be good and ready to make the team.
 
When's registration open, how come that info for isn't up yet?
Where is the squadding, how can I make plans if I don't know when I'm shooting?
Your communication is terrible, you should be posting daily to keep us up to date.
I want my say in how the match is run even though I have no intention of helping.
This is no way to run a match!

Registration: We know who is coming and who isn't, so we've pre-registered everyone (just send your money to me)
Squadding: This will be an unsquadded match... you just pick a stage and shoot it anytime you like.
