2019 Rimfire goals?

I hope to actually get out and shoot in 2019.

My outings from this past season could be counted on one hand (and have two fingers and a thumb left over).

Want to test more ammo for my Shultz & Larson, it has some potential but have yet to do any serious testing.

Then I want to get a good HMR rifle, either an Anshutz (and shoot it as built) or a build project (Ruger 77/22 or CZ 455) that I will rebarrel, add trigger, bed in a new stock etc.

The only glaring hole in my gopher arsenal is a 17 rimfire so that will be my focus.

Get my 40M offhand groups closer to the bench sized groups. My rifle, scope, and ammo are cheap, but the offhand groups are 2X-3X the size. My breathing and trigger control are coming around though.

Improve the trigger in this & shrink the groups even more.

First time ever shooting quality 22 ammo, always been bulk fodder or CCI stingers before this, now I know why folks shoot good 22 ammo, chuckle! 50m & ten shots with CCI Target.

Found a Simmons 24 x 44mm w/ fine hairs
-so goal now is to find the potential of a Anschutz 1400 and a BRNO #5

- load test a Lakefield Mark I single shot w/ BSA Sweet 22

- Find some local members interested in shooting 22 silhouette
Tried this on Monday nights and failed, maybe will try Saturdays this year

- shoot more in general
thats the plan every year, like getting more fit

- build some crps stages at the local gravel pit ;)

find some time to get my T/C Benchmark classic out and see whatbit can do............. like many, finding time is my problem..........

The Henry lever I picked up Boxing week has completed what I want in my Cabinet (for now:)) so 2019 is done.
Maybe pick-up a 1/2 dozen bricks for plinking.....

1. Attend at least one Mapleseed course: get Rifleman Patch
2. Get a consistent DOPE chart figured out
3. Attend every CRPS event I can
4. Attend every NRL22 event I can in Stittsville, ON
5. Ring the 400m gong more than once in a session
6. Be confident enough to compete in Open Class in the CRPS events by the year's end
7. Attend the ORPS events

I just picked up a Tikka T1X so my goal is to just shoot it as much as my schedule allows. Heading out this weekend with a few different brands of ammo to see how it performs.

Just decided to nab a krinker off of the EE, I think my goal is to get out and shoot a lot. Since ammo is cheap there's not much to hold me back except for availability of spare time. It should be a fun gun to shoot beavers, rabbits, squirrels, magpies and gophers with on the farm.

Sort 5k worth of ammo prior to spring and test it for groups to see if there is a difference. Work on long range (up to 300 yard) shooting skills. There is usually wind here so that will be interesting.

Cheap practice appeals to me and I can drive a couple of miles, set up and start shooting. No need to go to a range.

^promise me you'll post photos of gophers beside that cool rifle! I was looking at that krinker...and though I'm no 10/22 fan as a rule, THAT was a cool looking rifle. And yes..I'm a gopher shooting fan, no agenda beyond that! :)

^amen to that. If I want to shoot rimfire/shotgun~it's 20 minutes door-to-door to do that on a friend's farm.

If I want to shoot the big stuff, 2 hours to the public range I won't return to...or...the farms where I shoot groundhogs. I shoot rimfire and shotgun most. :)
