2019 spring bear is almost here!!!

It's so close I can taste it! Only a few more days!

I'll be heading to a glassing spot after work Monday to see if anything is moving yet, and I'll be spending Easter weekend in the bush looking for a bear if I can't get onto one before then (probably gonna go out even if I do get one before then).

Who else is restless with anticipation?

I saw a picture yesterday that a farmer's wife posted that showed 4 bears in a field east of Mission.
I will wait until I see one out behind the barn site.

might be an early season up here too as it's been so warm and things are "just" starting to green up.
food is still pretty scarce though, no insects flying around yet either.
The geese and swans are here though.

Same here. I am eating the bear meat from last year. A good friend gave me a game cook book and I used the receipt. taste great, or better than the way my wife cooked.

At work yesterday during a lul I was looking at news feeds.
Local news had someone reporting a sow black bear and cub out feeding near Mission BC on the side of the road , ok 15 yards side of the road.
I got excited then the story and video showed the sow with her head painted bright blue.
Pissed me off someone would do that...what pissed me off more was when I googled the story it was from 5 years ago.
WTF is with this fake news.
Please excuse the derail, Black Bear Season 2019 is coming fast.
