2022 Big Game Rifle

Black bear will be CVA Scout TD in .35 Whelen with 250gr Speer bullets at 2650.

Deer will be either Weatherby Vanguard in .257 Wby Mag firing 100gr Partitions at 3450 or Sig Cross in 6.5 Creedmoor firing Hornady Superformance 129gr SST at 2950 (advertised) 2820 (actual).

I might bring the Cross for bear as well, I'm interested in the Sako 156gr bonded bullets and seeing how they perform at close range.

I'll be using multiple rifles again this year, the top picks being Kimber Ascent 7-08, Kimber Montana 280AI, Christensen Carbon Barreled 300PRC, Fierce Carbon Edge 6.5 PRC and likely the no. 1 choice a Fierce CT Rival 7 SAUM

I'll be staying home this fall working with a new pup. So deer for me is xbow and muzzleloader. Either buckstalker 50cal of a Husqvarna sxs 12ga 51 or 20b

Moose is on the menu this year, for my custom 6.5 PRC. Bear and deer I want to take one this year with either a 1895 winny lever shooting the 303 brit or my newly acquired marlin 44 mag. Probably carry the shorter, easier to handle 44 mag, and use it for bear that I'm sure I will run across first within 100 yards.

Moose,
1895 win in 405 or a Ruger No.1 in 458 win mag.

Will likely take the Rossi 92 in 454 out a few times too….

Since I’ve been hunting whitetail form a stand for the most part with shots less than 100 yards I’m going to be using a 1940 Win M94 30-30. If I decide to try some other spots with further shots it will be a Win M70 FWT 270 Win. My wife will be using my 270 Win for her Trophy antelope draw.

Hmmm most likely my Ruger no1 in 9.3x62 for moose, but I have a few other options but some have no loads developed for them yet!! But in the ones that I know are shooters are Belgian BAR 30-06, Ruger M77mkII 30-06 and my Ruger no1 RSI 30-06!! They all taken Multiple moose and caribou!

Topped with a 1-6x Bausch and Lomb scope, with high see through mounts so open sights can be used short range.

Backup is my Stiga M96 Mauser in 30-06, and my Sauer M98 in 8mm Mauser.

Nice light rifle with alot of punch in the Ackley chambering.

Was planning on using a CZ600 this Fall for Moose but I doubt they will arrive in time so looks like i'll be using my Ruger American and Marlin 1895.
