If you're ever in Olds area there's tons west of town before the foothills. Just pick a patch of field, get permission, and have fun

East of Edm there are some cattle ranches. Lots of gophers there.

Yup same here, -16 this morning and we just had another 6" snow 2 days ago, it will be a while yet before we get gophers out and about

Put an add up at the local Co-op or UFA looking for landowner permission to hunt gophers. Has worked for me in the past.
