With all the choices we have for calibers that are in the quick humane kill category why would anyone want to go with a 22-250 0r 223 for deer?
Why would we need so many other choices? It's about personal choice. Not everyone wants to be like you.

If it comes to a vote, I will vote against it. I see all sorts of problems from idiots who will try to use a .22 centre fire improperly, with the wrong bullets, from too far, and with bad placement that will result in wounded, suffering animals. My objection has nothing to do with whether or not it can be done, because it can. It has to do with the ignorance and stupidity of too many "hunters".
I don't think it's a good idea at all.
If .223 is good enough for humans it should be good enough for deer,
.23 or bigger in Ontario
It had a habit of blowing the back quarter of a moose off and things like that as the bullets tended to blow up instead of penatration into the body cavity.
ZOMG! So...just like licensing and registration, we should apply stupid regulations against the masses because of the ignorance of a few?
Yes , I am not talking about large game nor 22mag or other rimfire cartridges. I am reffering to deer only and centerfire 22-250 or 223.
And what pray tell do you figure a 22 High Power is or was.The other name was a 22 Savage.

... Now imagine having to hit the heart dead on to drop the animal instantly.
A 60 grain partition through the heart is better then a 180 grain partition through the ass, no?
