using 70gr hornady gmx at 3300fps should be able to take deer pretty easy?
Well said. I would even extend this advise to the 243/6mm, especially at distance. It will work in the hands of a good shot who is intelligent enough to pass up a bad angle or hurried shot. There are better choices though to my mind.
Stevens 200 has a twist of 1 in 12 and I can put 3 rounds of 55gr power shok in the lid off a timmies cup at 250 yds

Is that what you're planning to use? Because Hornady calls for a much faster twist than that. Running the numbers through Bergers spin calculator, anything less than a 9.5 twist is unstable, and you're in the marginally stable range with both 9 and 8 twists at 3300fps.
No disrespect, but since when will a 12 twist not stabilize a 55gr lead bullet in a 22-250? Power shok is federal blue box, just a standard cup and core lead bullet. A 12 twist would be just fine.

my friend has shot deer with his 22 250 with a 55-grain soft point bullet. He says it sure does a lot of damage.
A good choice would be a nosler 60 g partition for deer use with the .22 cals
I have shot them from 14 twist 22-250 and they grouped MOA . Good Bullet BUT i like the TTSX better . RJ
