22-250 vs 22-250 ai

22cm holds 52.0grs H2O (Alpha) and 53.3grs h2O (Hornady)

22-250 is around 45 grains +/- depending on brass/chamber

We were discussing the Ackley version of the 22-250

It has a H2O of 55 gr.

The 22 Creedmoor is slightly smaller.

Therfore i assume a longer barrel life.

The problem I had was that as soon as the first few inches of barrel started to wear, the bullet was scratched and would then blow up. A blue barrel would not do this, but it would erode and wear out faster. I have up on it.

My 22-250 Ackley is only a little over a 10% increase in capacity, depending on brass 4.4 to 4.6grains.
At 55 grains of water, that is OVER a 20% increase in capacity????
