have both versions of 22-250. AI is faster and the brass stretches less.I doubt there's much difference in barrel life between the two. - dan
40 degree helps that a LOT ! RJ

X-reload has the 22-250 AI redding dies in stock on their website.
22cm holds 52.0grs H2O (Alpha) and 53.3grs h2O (Hornady)
22-250 is around 45 grains +/- depending on brass/chamber
Thxs BUT i am going 22 Creedmoor Its makes the MOST sense for sure ! RJ
Go 22BR! Or BRA!
We were discussing the Ackley version of the 22-250
It has a H2O of 55 gr.
The 22 Creedmoor is slightly smaller.
Therfore i assume a longer barrel life.
The problem I had was that as soon as the first few inches of barrel started to wear, the bullet was scratched and would then blow up. A blue barrel would not do this, but it would erode and wear out faster. I have up on it.
