22/45 Lite problem

The mag release mod is cheap and easy, yup take down is a pain until you practice. But ask yourself this, how hard is it to get parts for your Italian pistol? How hard to get mags? How much are mags? Does it eat everything?

My Ruger buddies just swab the barrel they dont need to tear it down after every shoot its not like many .22 jamomatics.

Remember this design has been around for 60 years ask yourself why? IT WORKS!

No thanks I will stay with what is best instead of hard to support no option off shore models.

My 22/45 is my 4th Ruger .22 pistol as I like something that just works, and yup guess what I sold my .22 Italian pistol years when I got tired of worrying of on shore support... in hind sight if I kept it I would have a 12(6) :(

ok!

i figured it out FINALLY!
had to all Sherlock Holmes on it but end result is i got it fixed.
what had happened is when i took the gun down and replaced the bushing with the SamLam one right when i was gonna start putting the gun together again the safty latch popped out. at the time i put it back in, checked out its range of travel and what it did and where it went, ensured it was back where it was suppose to be..... BUT what i hadnt noticed was that the Seer which is directly below it and is spring loaded had flipped over!
so i had put the gun all back together but the damn main spring housing would not click in, it was right there but just would not go.
so i took the gun back down thinking maybe something with the SamLam bushing was the problem and when i had it taken down i though - well why dont i try to put the main spring housing on now while i have the barrel off so i can see maybe where its getting bound up - and presto bingo i was able to see that it was being blocked by the now inverted Seer!

so i of course ripped the gun right down and figured this was as good as any time to learn this damn puzzle.
so spend the afternoon going over every piece, every movement, every spring.
got it all back together, works good once again.
then i spend another half an hour and ripped the gun fully down 10 times and put it back together.
ill be damned if im gonna get stuck ever again with this pistol!
haha, i like this gun too much to be mad at it all the time!

so, gun is back together AND that SamLam bushing is FANTASTIC!
and as a added bonus the mags now fall free with the mag release!

so, 3 frustrating days but in the end i now have a intimate knowledge of this gun inside and out so i should never get stuck putting it together ever again.

My Italian pistol is over 10,000 rounds and hasn't ate anything. After 1000 - 2000 rounds it won't hold open on the last shot but a quick wipe of the mag and follower solves that.

I don't know about parts availability though, no clue.
