.22 ammo scarcity

FYI Spring is barely off the ground.....like you said ".22 will be in short supply soon"- I can see that happening, let's say a month from now but at this moment there should be a full stock as there seems to be in every place else except in Moronto (judging by the responses). I've been stopping by several times during the last few weeks (during the course of doing other errands) & they were always nil-stock- it's not that I was asking for some esoteric brand but what they normally stock....CCI Stingers & ANY BRAND of 40grain,
hollow-point .22magnum. This problem of not stocking up only seems to be in Moronto as the guys are mentioning full stock of ammo at CTire, Walmart......never mind ammo, CT &
Walmart don't even carry BBguns here! This is MILLER'S MORONTO, after all!

there is for certain types..

i bought out every single pack of CCI mini mags available in Calgary.. CT said 5 months till they get more. wholesale said they dont know when it will come.. russels the same... bass pro have never had any..

right now i've got about 5000 mini mags.. and i hope that will last me until the supply catches up. and if anyone else wants any they are screwed cos ive got it all..
the guy in russels was gutted cos he was going to buy some but i cleaned them out before he had chance!

federal bulk packs are easy to find.. as is the crap winchester stuff.. but better stuff is scarce...

Wholesale lied there was mini mags on the shelf when I bought my ammo. :D
 
God i'm in the same boat here, i live in markham and go to the lebarons here. They never have a single thing i need. No .308, little amounts of shotgun shells, .22 is alright but not great and everyother thing gun related they barely have, including scope rings which i was also looking for and they do not have!! to add insult to injury i have been looking to pick up a rem 700 30 06 for a long time, they guy told me three months ago they would be getting a rem. shippment in in approx 2 weeks, well its been three months and their still telling me that. you cant rely on lebarons anymore!

i was in there today and they didnt have any.. nor did they earlier in the week or last week. or every week for months before.. i get in there quite often as i pass by there..

are you sure it wasnt maxi mags they had? cos they were in the place where mini mags normally sit..

I came home today with Mini mags (40gr) for 6.99 a box of 100 I was saying that wholesale lied about not having any I didn't mean at the calgary store My wholesale (not calgary) had lots, still a bit left they could of brough in for you. I was just buggin a bit.

oh, that makes sense.. however i would never actually ask them to bring me anything in.. i try my best to never speak to those jokers in WSS unless i can see what i want is on the shelf. and i only go there if EVERYWHERE else is out of what im looking for.. i hate the place.. the staff are lazy obnoxious idiots who spend more time chatting to each other than serving us.. if they have what i want, great.. ill ask for it and get out...

hopefully now though i wont have to go in there ever again as bass pro will fill the gap where WSS was before.. i.e the last resort store.

did they have 36 grain HP?

Not that I seen just 40gr but I wasn't looking that hard either. I agree you pretty much summed up the WSS here too (attitude / a last resort) I am returning my remaining 9 boxes of mini mag my gun doesn't like them at all I fired 10 10 shot groups with both the mini mags and the blazer and the blazer average group size was way lower.
