IMHO, there's always a place for a .22lr handgun in one's stable. The basic principles of stance, sight picture, breathing and trigger control can all be worked on with a .22lr handgun. For me logic says if one can't shoot a .22lr handgun accurately and consistently then how can one expect to shoot a larger calibre handgun accurately and consistently? You pays your money, you makes your choice. Everyone is different so YMMV......
