.22 'backfire' help diagnosing please

I had that happen with some old Dominion .22lr someone gave me. Everything looked fine, cases were clean and stored in an airtight pill bottle lol.
Coincidentally it was also in my Scorpio. The rupture in my case was on the back of the case head where it rests against the breech. Had 2 in a row so the rest got buried. No stuck bullets.

He does mention the boy was wearing ear pro. Unless it has been edited between when you and I read it.

geez looky, it's in the first sentence!

Thanks, he was wearing glasses and they had black soot on them. I will be ordering better fitting earmuffs and glasses though, as we've been using adult size and they don't fit perfectly.

Bin shewt'in ole paws 308NM with a musslce brayke awn'er and nawt a ring a ding in me ears with prawper muff'ins.
As mentioned, I too ware dem dizzy damps inside outer muff'ins.

Just watch the CCi quiets(720fps) they can be inconsistent, the longer the barrel the more the problem. I don’t pull the trigger on the next round unless I see a hole in the target. Sometimes I can even see the round go to the target(25yds)

I had only shot them in my Golden Boy and Beretta Model70, I knew they were moving slow. Recently acquired a new 455 and put some decent glass on top. Shooting it at 29 yards (indoor range) reminded me of watching my .45 lob chunks of lead at the 100y silhouettes! Highly entertaining, but with longer barrels / tighter barrels I'd be making sure of a proper exit each shot.

Had the same problem with a 10/22 and Winchester power point. Ruger said rifle could not fire out of battery. Winchester sent me a certificate for $35 US when I returned the lot #.
