No not Garry..... Jokes aside I am looking for a suggestion for a cheap .22 plinker for squirrels at the farm and yeah I know I can get a 10/22 but like I said inexpensive and IDC if it single shot.
Used is a waste of time seeing everyone and auction thinks .22 are worth f'in gold or more then new (Unless someone has one used in MB and wants to get rid of it cheap)?

Please let me know / post link if possible.

Thank you

Derya/RIA Feather, or Derya Flash from IRunGuns Canadian Store. Both in stock right now.

Feather

Flash

Both are semi auto, accept 10 to 25rd mags, come with open sights and are red dot ready. They're the identical rifle, just with different furniture. Same stock, receiver, bolt, barrel, grip, etc. Carry handle on the Feather is just mounted on the pic rail and can be removed.

The Flash even comes with two mags.

Perfect! Thank you

Just understand that this gun is cheap. Feels cheap, looks cheap, is cheap. Like, "holy hell, what in the Mattel is this thing" cheap.

You won't be impressed with any obvious "quality".

It has 3 positives: it's cheap, it's light, and it runs. I'd say the "it runs" part are mostly to do with the excellent Derya mags.

Plinking and just messing around, a cheap semi is fine. But, I’ve seen very few semi’s that are ā€œminute of squirrel headā€ at 50 yards out of the box. Especially if cheaper ammo is involved.

IMO a bolt action is the way to go for a small game gun as they tend to be more accurate with less maintenance. Plus you can also shoot 22 shorts or low velocity rounds for quietly dispatching pests. šŸ‘

Savage usually wins in this department.

Also Scorpio EM322a - under $200 for 18" bbl on FoC (sponsor) - and you may find them on EE and GP, too. BIG thread here - https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...-making-a-silk-purse-from-a-sows-ear.1988570/
PS - I have a Sav B-22 (good for MOA) but those are ca $450+ now, and my Sav-64 needs trigger work to keep 'squirrel-head accuracy' plus 'good ammo', not bulk. And 'fixing a cheap rifle' to get that accuracy will bump the ticket up.

There's 3 cooeys for sale for less than $200 on the ee. Otherwise go to your local gun store and buy the cheapest 22 they have. It will probably be a savage for about $250
How hard is that search?
The trying to place a wtb in the general open forum or are they to lazy to head over to the EE or their local gun store?

The only really accurate inexpensive .22LR rifles I've ever fired are Husqvarna single shots and repeaters. Intersurplus usually has a few. These are very well made. My club had one with target sights mounted that rivalled far more expensive Anschutz rifles. Forget about the 10/22, or any semi auto, if you want an accurate firearm.

Isn’t the 10/22 known as the least accurate production semi 22lr that requires replacing almost everything on the gun to make them shoot good?

Norinco Scorpio. Well made, a bit over $200, repeater, really accurate. Put a compact scope on it and you are set. It will cost half as much as a Ruger 10-22, and will shoot more accurately.

My buddy has a little Savage Stevens 315. Aka the Squirrel Gitt'r 3000. Accurate as hell and he has lost track of the number of pests that has fallen to that little rifle. Out of all his "big boy" guns... that one has probably seen more rounds than any of the others.

Of the many I've seen at the range, the only one that shoots at all well has an aftermarket barrel, trigger, and stock. A lot of expense to get a rifle no more accurate than an old Husqvarna. Although I suppose it would theoretically allow you to take out as many as ten squirrels in one burst of firing. As we know, squirrels travel in packs.
