I've got a Wilson Combat (read: Ceiner) conversion kit with fixed sights and we (wife and 2 teenage boys) just love that kit. It's more accurate than I can ever hold it. It functions so very well with Federal BulkPak bullets from Cambodian Tire and Wally World.
And yes, I have owned a Ruger 22/45. I loved that pistol when I owned it, but it ain't gonna work on any of my SERPA CQB holsters that are set up for our Service pistol game. Nor is that wonderful shooting Ruger gonna fit in my USGI M12 holster. That was the frustrating part... a great pistol but no holster to carry it in or draw from. And I ain't gonna try a crossdraw with that 5" plus barrel with overhanging front sight. LOL
I bought the Wilson Combat (read : Ceiner) and I have never looked back. My teen sons and their friends just love that Ceiner kit that's sitting on top of a Norinco M1911 (formerly a .45) that's dedicated for that purpose. That .22 LR ALWAYS gets out to any range practice, especiallly with my wife and/or kids. Then when they make the switch to the 9mm 1911's, all the controls are in the exact same place. And the holsters that my wife and kids are wearing all accomodate the .22LR AND the 9mm 1911's.
Life is good,
Barney
