22 LR gouging

Canadian tire in Langford has an ok selection of 22 right now. eley, mini mags, federal and some others. also had some walnut stocked sks's price was kinda high though.

I saw the following .22 caliber ammo in Canadian tire today: Remington 22 thunderbolt 500 rounds for $41.99

cci mini mag 300 rounds for $26.99, also cci standard velocity 50 round for $6.99 and few other brands.it looks availability is improving.

My local Wallyworld just got a couple 333 boxes of the Win. I bought one today - it was $17 and change, plus taxes. Vastly cheaper than the LGS or Crappy Tire (although they are out).

This is the first 22 ammo I have seen at that Wallyworld in at least a year. A few weeks ago they told me they were phasing it out (they removed the "spot" and prices for 22 ammo in their cabinet) but now they have new empty spots and prices. Of course, it took them about 20 minutes to find the keys to the cabinet...which might explain why they had 2 of the 333 boxes in stock.

ya i stand corrected it was the 525 remingtons that were 30....was 17 for the 333 packs. Saw labels wrong!

Shotgun shells are no steal anymore either ! There is a rumor going around that they are going to change the writing on the shotshell boxes to .... 12 gouge , 20 gouge , etc.

I'm happy buying Blazer for 30/brick now days, I even passed mini mag solids at 10/100 which may not have been a good idea, but I have a shwack of most of the CCI varieties stashed up. Plus I get 5 or sometimes 10% off ammo depending on the cashier.

seen 70/brick on AE at a store recently on holidays, OUCH!

I haven't seen Blazer .22 in a long, long time.
GTA and Southwest Ontario.

I bought 3 bricks and it shoots maybe 7/8" avg out of both my bolt guns at 50yds, ran a bit out the 10/22 and ran good so bought 4 more, plenty good for the kids and company and most stuff ya need to do. Sold 5 bricks of AE was sitting on as don't need 'em anymore.

Seems like we get a wave in the west and you guys starve and visa-versa, your turn will come :) at least there's stuff on the shelves nowdays out here.

I find CCI Minimags even Standard Velocity on occasion, but Blazer is the one that is never to be seen.

So it happens that normally... Blazer is my .22 LR ammo of choice.
Best bang for buck IMHO.
