Different kettle of fish......MP5 & variants are prohibited by name, VZ58 is prohibited only because it falls under the "full auto" blanket, a semi version of the VZ is no prob, as long as it's "newly maufactured".

Well that GSG5 isn't an MP5 at all anyway, just a brand new gun mocked up in a well made MP5 lookalike but if you look closely at the video, the bolt absolutely do not look like any of the G3 derivative, this must be straight blowback. Question is, does it uses an MP5 triggergroup ? It can't be made a variant just because it has esthetic similarities with any previous gun. Like to call a remington 700 an AR variant because you've put a detachable A2 carry handle on your scope rail, its dumb...

lets not forget who were talking about, if thay think they can getaway with banning a new gun then thay will do so.
 
Yeah... But they faced their own rethoric before and many guns passed, look at the FS2000, PS90 & tavor to name a few. Let's hope they won't feel #####y when they examinate the gun.
 
I hope it's availabe before spring. I need to buy the kids a new .22 and I'm less than enthusiatic about picking up a Ruger 10/22.
