^IIRC the long barrel version of the GSG meets OAL with a collapsible stock but it already has one of those dildos on it. Not exactly the same but a fake suppressor none the less.

It's a .22, not a battle implement. Get over it.

try hitting a 25 yard paper target with a stock that wiggles. There is no joy in a gun that is not accurate. nothing to do with battle implement or milspec it has to do with enjoying a well made firearm versus fighting a bad design.

They are only shipping with the fixed stock. The collapsible one may be an option in the future.

This isn't directed at any of the people posting here, but I've seen enough pics and vids of the GSG-5. Hopefully somebody will eventually get around to posting how accurate it is, what the balance and ergonomics are like, or even their opinion on how easy the rifle is to maintain. The damn thing might as well be an airsoft toy if all anybody cares about it looking at the silly thing.

i spoke with the blueline guys. the RCMP have had a sample for a month now. just waiting for the reclassification. when all is a go, the are plenty of units in europe ready to be shipped. no prices.

CanFire....Check out Zak Smith's review a few posts up.

Thanks KDX - somehow I missed seeing that link.

Hopefully the "long term" review will include an accuracy update using optics. I wouldn't want to run optics on the GSG-5, but if the rifle is capable of performing, perhaps the chunky factory iron sights will someday be upgradable to precision iron sights.

FINALLY, SOME NEWS. Awesome... now let's just hope it doesn't take 11ty billion months for them to re-classify if that's their intention.

I guess that will depend on the price and if you can afford it. They should be priced similar to the ones that are selling in the States and I would give it a 5 out of 10 that the RCMP will do the right thing and give them a non restricted classification. It really should be a no brainer.
