I don't understand why you guys still want this potmetal subgun imitation when you can buy yourselves a nordic kit that would pretty much blow this thing out of the water on every level...

Because one looks like an AR while the other looks like an MP5. Obviously we need to be able to buy both!

However, once Mr.AR15 finishes up his 10/22 -> MP5 conversion, maybe we'll have a made-in-Canada alternative to the GSG-5. :dancingbanana:

Come on CanFire, you should know better...

Ummm....look down a few threads.

Warranty service and West Coast coverage will be done through Dlask Arms, and one of the major distributors is going to be The Shooting Edge.

For Blue Line to plan out the warranty and distribution, they must beleive that it will be reclassified....

We trust that RCMP’s FRT division is going to recognize the differences and reclassify GSG-5 from prohibited into non restricted and restricted categories.

My last question is, does anyone KNOW - NOT SPECULATE if the RCMP has made a final ruling on the classification on this gun? Is it decided or might therebe an appeal in the process?

Aftermidnights your info was interresting but how old is it?

as per my disclaimer... this is not my info, just a quote.... its one of the posts in the Rimfire section by Blue Line themselves dated 01/18/2008.. might be on page 8 or 9 by now.

It's prohibited as an MP5 variant, allegedly based on looks at seen by RCMP staff at the Shot Show, Blue Line tried to get them to re-consider by giving the RCMP lab a functional example, they didn't, end of story.
