If you shoot this rifle and cartridge well, you'll have no trouble with Blacktail or any deer for that matter. I have a friend that uses this caliber on all his deer,loves the rifle and is an excellent shot with it. I have seen him take mule buck with it at 320 yards, deader than a smelt, one shot. FS

Where is this going on? That caliber is illegal for big game (deer) in Alberta.

I've tried the Barnes X in a 22/250. The flyers drove me crazy, so I ditched that ideal.If I had to use a 22 Cal on deer though I'd look long and hard at the X Bullets though![]()
While we're on the .22 Cal subject a Close Bud of mine shot a Cow Moose in his backyard with a 22 LR in his younger days........it died.I'd too would like to hear about the Noslers from people that have ACTUALLY shot a 22cal Partition from .223 or 22/250.
