.22 pistol?

Well if I find the right one for me the budget is unlimited of course I would have to save for it but my intended purpose would be for plinking and to try to get a little more accuracy.

.22's are definately the cheapest to shoot and can be the most accurate. I have several .22 autos. (Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Sig) Some are ammo fussy, especially the Sig. Pick an American .22 they are cheaper(in price) and seem to cycle any ammo. You really have to size one up with your hand to get a idea of how the pistol functions for you. Sometimes, you'll have spend more to find a match. Cause, if you stay in the sport ....you will.

I have no idea why it appeals to me so much, but that is the coolest looking .22 pistol I've seen yet! Seriously thinking about buying one for my g/f for Christmas...

This is what my wife shoots...

It's a Browning Buckmark Lite Splash.
She loves it and it is really nice to shoot and quite accurate.
It's in the $450 range IIRC.
You'll get all the standard Buckmark and Ruger replies... they are all good firearms and reasonably priced.

.22

Check out Ruger, they make several really nice .22 pisols. Easy to clean and put back together (the second time you put it back together). Xray

Shoots really good... Really accurate... I highly recomend it...
only flaws are: slide does not lock back after last round has been fired. needs a good cleaning after 1500 rounds

It is made of polymer and aluminium, has fully agustable sights, is very very very light. it is Very very easy to take apart and clean (have it apart in less then 45 seconds) eats every type of ammo I have fed it... just keep it clean and well oiled and it is a blast (no pun intended). everybody at my club who has shot it loves it. I have a thread a few pages back where you can see more pictures.

it is actually a conversion kit for there 40, 9mm model but you can purchace it in a 22 package (that what I did)

Hey everyone I am looking for something that I can shoot .22 that is not too expensive.
Right now I have been shooting a friends glock with a conversion kit which I absolutely love but not cheap to buy.
I am still new to the shooting world so I don't even know where to begin to look nor what I am looking for...
any ideas or suggestions on what to look for and maybe even where?

Thanks

To learn to shoot get a cheap gun, Norinco or Ruger.

Over time, you'll try and own most of the guns mentioned on this site.

Start with a cheap gun, buy lots of ammo.
