.22 postol

I just picked up the Sig 1911 .22 and so far I like it. Seems pretty solid. I find it comfortable in my somewhat large hand. Ishot 100 rounds when I got it and had 2 miss feeds with good ammo. Just finished polishing the slide. It already feels smoother. I bet it will run 100% now, and I will try cheap ammo.

How much do you have to spend? Here would be my short-list at various prices:

<$500 = Ruger Mk2/3 or Buckmark
$500-$750 = Ruger Mk4, Buckmark, S&W 17
$750-$1000 = S&W 41. Hammerli 208, old Walther GSP, FAS602, High standard, etc are available and good guns but parts & support are non-existent.
$1000-$2000 = Don’t bother.
~$2000 = Used Pardini SP or GSP Expert. Be very careful.
>$2500 = Pardini SP or GSP Expert.

In all honesty, a good used Ruger Mk2 tgt should run you $325-$350. Best value of the bunch.

I'm a huge fan of my10 shot S&W 617, but it's a little more pricey but very much worth every penny.

but for half the price you can get a Colt 1911 and I have owned a GSG 1911 in 22 as well as my Colt
and I sold the GSG because it was not as good as the Colt, for shooting, cleaning and what ammo you can shoot,
the gsg I had would stove pipe like crazy with the cheap bulk ammo.
